Polytec are looking for a hands-on Lead Manufacturing Technician for our client based near Royston.  You will help build, test and improve advanced electromechanical products while leading a team of technicians to deliver quality, safety and productivity targets.
This is an excellent opportunity to combine technical expertise with team leadership, working closely with engineering and production teams in a fast-growing technology business.

Responsibilities
- Leading and supporting a team of manufacturing technicians
- Building, testing, repairing and upgrading electromechanical equipment
- Driving quality, safety and continuous improvement initiatives
- Troubleshooting manufacturing and product issues
- Developing and improving assembly processes and documentation
- Supporting technician training and skills development
- Helping deliver production targets in a fast-paced environment

Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or production technician role
- Previous team leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong electromechanical assembly and fault-finding skills
- Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence
