CNC Machinist
Location:
Cambridge
Salary:up to £39K
Job Type:Full Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:30pm Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
Our client is a well-established precision engineering company serving the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and steadily expanding business, producing high-precision components for demanding industries where quality, accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist- Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
- Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Making tooling and offset adjustments as required.
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
- Working closely with the production team to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
- Ability to independently programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision machining techniques.
- Experience producing complex components to tight tolerances.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Matsuura, Haas or Doosan machines.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
- Experience operating Twin-Spindle Lathes.
- Previous experience within the Aerospace or Defence industries.

- Up to £20.00 per hour PAYE / £39k Salary
