We’re Bird Life International, the only global Partnership conserving birds and all life on our planet. We exist to give one voice to nature, and to unite and strengthen conservation across borders.
We are looking for a data-driven Individual Giving Officer to join the Individual Giving team. This role splits its time between delivering Bird Life's supporter retention programme — maximising the long-term value of our regular and cash-giving supporter base — and taking the lead in delivering Bird Life's mid-value income programme, cultivating and growing donors giving in the £1,000–£10,000 range.
Reporting to the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager, the Individual Giving Officer will combine strong campaign and data skills with a relationship-led approach to mid-value donors, working closely with colleagues across supporter care, major gifts, prospect research, and communications to deliver a joined-up supporter journey from first gift through to major giving.
How you will do this:Supporter Retention
Support the ongoing development and lead the delivery of Bird Life's supporter retention programme across cash giving, regular giving, and other individual giving channels, maximising the long-term value of the supporter base.
Design and implement supporter journeys and stewardship communications that deepen engagement and reduce attrition.
Identify and deliver opportunities to grow regular giving, including converting cash givers into regular committed supporters.
Analyse retention and attrition data to identify trends, at-risk segments, and opportunities for improvement, using insight to continually refine the programme.
Partner with the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Coordinator to ensure a consistent, high-quality supporter experience across all retention touchpoints.
Collaborate with Communications team colleagues to deliver multi-channel retention campaigns across digital channels.
Identify and deliver opportunities to deepen supporter engagement beyond financial giving with ways to improve retention across mass and mid-level income streams.
Lead the delivery of Bird Life’s mid-level programme, including the acquisition, cultivation upgrade, and retention of donors giving in the £1,000–£10,000 range.
Support the ongoing development of Bird Life's mid-value giving programme, working with the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager.
Manage a portfolio of mid-value donors, delivering personalised stewardship and cultivation activity to grow their support over time.
Identify and qualify mid-value donors with capacity to grow into the Major Gifts pipeline, working with the Major Gifts Officer as relationships develop.
Develop and deliver tailored communications, proposals, and impact reports for mid-value donors.
Set and monitor income and engagement targets for the mid-value programme, reporting regularly to the Individual Giving and Supporter Care Manager.
Maintain accurate donor and campaign records in Raiser's Edge or an equivalent CRM, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice.
Track, analyse, and report on retention and mid-value programme performance, using data to inform planning and decision-making.
Ensure all campaign activity is delivered in line with Bird…
