Job Description

Join our dynamic Nature team as an Arboricultural Consultant located in Basingstoke, Bristol, Cambridge or Croydon (other UK locations may be considered). In this role you will support a range of arboricultural services including tree climbing, condition surveys, BS5837 and other impact assessments, forestry, woodland management, tree planting and valuation.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake tree surveys for planning purposes and to assess tree condition.
  • Prepare arboricultural reports to BS 5837:2012, Arboricultural Impact Assessments (AIA) and Arboricultural Method Statements (AMS).
  • Develop Tree Condition Reports.
  • Provide technical arboricultural advice and support for internal and external teams and clients.
  • Work independently or collaboratively with other arboricultural and environmental professionals in the planning, delivery and management of arboricultural services.
  • Conduct arboricultural site monitoring and supervision to discharge planning conditions.
Qualifications
  • Solid understanding of arboricultural principles and awareness of BS 5837:2012, BS 8545:2014 and BS 3998:2010.
  • Competency in tree identification, inspection, condition assessment and management options.
  • Technician Certificate in Arboriculture (or equivalent Level 3/4 qualification) or higher.
  • Knowledge of relevant UK legislation, best practice and policy relating to arboriculture.
  • A full clean UK driving licence is essential for attending remote sites.
