Technical Assistant, Quality Assurance - QA​/QC

We're working with a leading food manufacturer to recruit a Technical Assistant to join their Technical team. You'll play an important role in maintaining technical systems, analysing key data and supporting projects that help ensure products remain safe, legal, authentic and compliant.

What You'll Be Doing:

Own allergen validation activity across both factories, maintaining validation status, coordinating new validations and supporting NPD requirements, while acting as the site Gluten-Free (GF) lead
Compile and analyse technical data for monthly KPI reporting, creating standardised templates, dashboards and reports to identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for continuous improvement
Maintain technical records and databases, including nutritional information, customer complaints and other compliance documentation, ensuring data accuracy, integrity and traceability
Support technical compliance and audit readiness, including traceability exercises, specifications, QAS maintenance and preparation for customer, BRC and internal audits
Assist with customer complaint investigations, working alongside Customer Service and Technical colleagues to gather information, identify root causes and support effective corrective actions
Identify recurring trends and emerging risks, turning complex data into clear insights that can support food safety, quality and business improvement decisions
Work collaboratively across the business, supporting NPD, Quality, Production, Customer Service and other functions on technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Contribute to the wider Technical function, ensuring documentation, reporting and technical systems remain accurate, up to date and aligned with company, customer and regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience within Technical, Quality, QA, Compliance or Food Safety in a food manufacturing/FMCG environment, with an understanding of HACCP, allergens, food safety and technical standards
Strong analytical and administrative skills, with confidence using Excel and other Microsoft Office systems to manage data, identify trends and produce clear reports
Excellent attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to maintain accurate technical records, manage multiple priorities and work effectively to deadlines
Good understanding of allergen management, traceability, specifications and customer requirements, with experience supporting audits or technical investigations desirable
A proactive and collaborative communicator who enjoys problem-solving, working cross-functionally and taking ownership of projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
