A well-established retail business in Cambridgeshire is seeking a skilled and passionate Butcher to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of a busy butcher counter, ensuring the highest standards of preparation, presentation, and hygiene. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality while creating a welcoming and knowledgeable service experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

* Preparing and cutting meat to a high professional standard

* Delivering excellent customer service and offering product advice

* Maintaining strict food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2/3 preferred)

* Managing stock control, ordering, and minimising waste

* Creating attractive and well-stocked displays

* Supporting and mentoring colleagues where required

About You

* Proven experience as a butcher in a retail, farm shop, or similar environment

* Strong knife skills and excellent product knowledge

* Passionate about quality, provenance, and customer care

* Reliable, organised, and able to work independently

* Positive, professional, and team-oriented
