The Opportunity
Our client is a dynamic and professional working environment within a leading biotechnology company based in the exceptional surroundings of Granta Park. The role of Security Manager is highly respected and will form an integral part of the site's leadership team, responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across this prestigious corporate site. This is a visible and influential position that requires a proactive leader capable of delivering outstanding security services while fostering strong working relationships with the client, colleagues, and external partners.
Responsibilities- Managing the day‑to‑day security operation across the client site
- Leading, mentoring and developing the onsite security team, ensuring professional standards and compliance requirements are met
- Conducting regular audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Managing access control systems, CCTV operations and security technologies
- Developing and implementing site security procedures
- Liaising closely with the client, contractors and key stakeholders
- Managing staff rotas, attendance, performance reviews and training requirements
- Delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a secure environment
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies, site instructions and relevant legislation
Full in‑house training will be provided.
Essential Skills and Experience- Valid SIA Licence
- Previous experience in a Security Supervisor, Security Manager or similar leadership role
- Right to work in the UK and a five‑year checkable history
- Punctual and reliable
- Passionate about creating an expectational customer experience
- Knowledge of the MS packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly intuitive with a curious mindset
- Highly presentable in line with our corporate brand
- Resilient and pro‑active in work
