Overview

Embedded Software Consultant – Defence – Cambridge. A growing Defence company based in Cambridge seeks experienced Embedded Software Consultants or Engineers to assist in developing technologies that enhance the defence and safety of the UK.

• Develop embedded software primarily in Embedded C for defence-related projects.
• Engage in prototyping and related tasks; knowledge of C, C++, MATLAB or related languages is advantageous.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary division including mechanical, electronics engineers, physicists and other professionals.
• Contribute to projects that require security clearance and work within a disciplined engineering environment.
• Support career growth and learn from colleagues as the team expands.

• Experience in Embedded C is essential;
  Defence sector experience is preferred but candidates from other complex sectors will be considered.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Knowledge of prototyping and software languages (C, C++, MATLAB) is highly advantageous.
• Degree in software or electronics, or another field leading to an Embedded Software Engineer role.
• Open to candidates at varying levels of experience, from 1–2 years to senior roles; level of responsibility will depend on experience and skills.
