.NET Software Engineer

Software Engineer (.NET) | Greenfield Product Development Location

Cambridge, UK (Hybrid - 2 days in the office)

We're partnering with an innovative technology company that's building the next generation of software platforms used within highly regulated, engineering‑led industries.

This is an opportunity to join a growing engineering team where you'll be working on greenfield projects, helping to design and build brand‑new products and features from the ground up. Rather than maintaining legacy applications, you'll play a key role in shaping the architecture, technology choices, and future direction of the platform.

• Design and develop modern applications using C# and .NET
• Build new products and greenfield features from concept through to production
• Develop desktop, backend and systems‑level software
• Collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Architects, Product and QA teams
• Contribute to technical architecture and engineering best practices
• Improve testing, CI/CD and software quality across the platform
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture
• Evaluate and adopt modern development tools, including AI‑assisted engineering where appropriate

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience
• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET
• Experience developing desktop and/or systems applications
• Experience building automated integration and end‑to‑end testing
• Experience with WPF, WinUI or other XAML‑based UI frameworks
• Solid understanding of software architecture and design principles
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Comfortable using AI‑assisted development tools
• Right to work in the UK

• Modern C++Azure IoT or industrial communication protocols
• Experience working within engineering, manufacturing or other highly regulated environments
