Job Description 1 - 2 Month Contract With A Local AuthorityPurpose of the Role
The Service Coordinator will support and enable services to deliver for the people of Camden efficiently and effectively. In line with our recent organisational changes, we aim to be more responsive to the needs of our customers and provide support that adds the most value.
As a Service Coordinator, you will provide professional, proactive, flexible, and customer-focused support to the organisation, ensuring the smooth operation of services and contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Fostering and Permanence Service.
Ensure the professional delivery of established processes, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance service delivery.
Support the implementation and use of technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring that information is accessible and up-to-date.
Assist in coordinating service activities, meetings, and projects to ensure timely delivery.
Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and professional communication.
Support colleagues across the council by ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to perform their roles effectively.
Contribute to service development initiatives by providing feedback, identifying trends, and supporting improvements in line with Camden’s strategic priorities.
RequirementsExperience in a coordination or administrative support role, ideally within social care or a local authority setting.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT systems; willingness to embrace new technologies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving processes.
Knowledge of children’s social care services, fostering, and permanence processes.
Experience in supporting service improvements and implementing new processes.
Understanding of council policies and procedures.
