SEN Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education are supporting a friendly primary school in Islington in their search for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 1 pupil from September 2025.

Location: Islington
Start Date: September 2025
End Date: July 2026
Daily Rate: per day

• Provide individualised 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil with additional learning needs

• Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and staying engaged in lessons

• Work in partnership with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored education plans

• Track and record progress, behaviour, and development to support SEN provision

• Full-time, term-time contract running until July 2026

• Inclusive, community-driven primary school in central Islington

• Ofsted-rated Good with strong SEN provision and effective leadership

• Nurturing environment where staff wellbeing is a priority

• Supportive and collaborative teaching team with a positive learning culture

• Excellent transport links and close to local facilities

• Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, TA, or Learning Support Assistant

• Skilled in supporting children with additional needs such as speech, language, or behavioural challenges

• Patient, proactive, and passionate about children's learning and development

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
