A well established secondary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to join its successful Performing Arts department on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who can inspire students of all abilities and foster a love of music both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher or an experienced practitioner, you will be joining a supportive school that values creativity, collaboration and high quality teaching.
The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. You will play an active role in the wider life of the department by supporting concerts, performances and extracurricular activities that enrich students' learning.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assess, monitor and support student progress.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Contribute to concerts, productions, clubs and enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop the Music curriculum.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, achievement and attendance.
- Support the wider aims and values of the school.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every student.
- The ability to contribute positively to a collaborative department.
