Location: Highgate

The Treasury Analyst will support the Treasury function in delivering first‑class service to Islamic Relief Worldwide. The role focuses on developing analytical tools and processes that enable the organisation to manage FX and banking risks, produce accurate cash‑flow reporting, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Treasury dashboards to support FX and banking risk management.
  • Own timely, accurate cash‑flow reporting and currency mapping for Treasury; provide analysis and clear outcomes for the Finance and Corporate Services division.
  • Identify and implement reporting efficiencies, leading continuous‑improvement projects.
  • Build relationships that influence and challenge business decisions, strategy and outcomes.
  • Own development and production of the Treasury Reporting Pack.
  • Manage controls and processes around report preparation, leading ongoing development and enhancements.
  • Support the Treasury Operations Manager with day‑to‑day treasury operations, including oversight of payment processing (internal and third‑party), FX confirmation matching and accurate position determination.
  • Stay current with charitable‑sector regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Provide management with ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as required.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified or studying toward a Treasury or Chartered Accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACT, AMCT) or equivalent accountancy qualification with a banking/tresury specialism.
  • Successful track record operating under pressure, handling sensitive and confidential information, and delivering credible service.
  • Practical demonstrable Treasury reporting experience, ideally within a multicurrency, international context.
  • Experience in an accounting environment with foreign exchange risk mitigation.
  • Experience of payment processing, ideally within an international environment.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑changing environment with an adaptable, flexible, and supportive approach.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements; develop and encourage innovative solutions.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Application of strong technical/analytic skills (Excel, modelling).
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Unit 4 ERP (desirable).
  • Approach problems systematically, with an analytical and innovative mindset.
  • Strong time‑management skills, able to work calmly under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with the ability to manipulate large data sets.
  • Good business acumen, analytical and innovative thinking with an understanding of the Finance department’s role in adding value to operational decision‑making.
  • Self‑motivated, works on own initiative with minimal supervision and high energy.
  • Coordinate and support cross‑functional teams related to banking and treasury matters.
  • Sets ambitious goals and takes responsibility for personal development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to form working relationships at all levels.
  • Proven ability to understand and explain complex issues to non‑finance and finance specialists.
