What You’ll Be DoingWe are recruiting to 9 permanent Support Coordinator positions in the following services:
- 4x Support Coordinators in the Learning Disability Day Service
- 3x Support Coordinators in Older Persons Day Service
- 2x Support Coordinators in Mental Health Day Service
As a Support Coordinator, you will be providing person‑centred support to adults with a range of mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and emotional or physical support needs.
Within Kingsgate Day Service and the Learning Disabilities Day Service, the Support Coordinator provides high‑quality practical, emotional, and personal care. This includes supporting adults with disabilities to take control of their lives, access local community resources, and work towards planned goals and outcomes. The role involves close partnership working with multidisciplinary teams, including NHS North London Mental Health Partnership services, to ensure coordinated and holistic support.
A Support Coordinator within Mental Health Day Service plays an integral role to the service where you will support people recovering from mental ill health to take control of their lives and provide practical and emotional support.
You will participate in a wide range of tasks, including care planning, monitoring and review process and promote equality of opportunity, choice, privacy, dignity, rights and independence, ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and will require an Enhanced DBS.
All About YouYou will hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and have strong IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office. You will have experience planning and leading shifts and a solid understanding of safe working practices such as manual handling, medication administration, food hygiene, and infection control.
You will have knowledge or experience of supporting people with Autism, learning disabilities, brain injuries, epilepsy, and other long‑term conditions. And, if interested in the role within the Mental Health Day services, we would expect experience of paid or unpaid work with people with social care needs in relation to mental health. You will have a clear understanding of safeguarding adults.
You will be committed to person‑centred approaches, the principles of Valuing People Now, and supporting individuals to achieve their goals.
You will be compassionate, organised, and dedicated to delivering high‑quality, empowering support.
