Village Vet Highgate is a busy, well-established first opinion practice seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing, close-knit team delivering a wide range of clinical services while maintaining high standards of patient care. The practice is known for managing a varied and complex caseload in-house, supported by an experienced veterinary team and a collaborative working environment.
OverviewAs a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional clinical care and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. Working alongside our veterinary surgeons, nursing team, and support staff, you will help ensure excellent patient outcomes and outstanding client service. This is a predominantly clinical role offering exposure to a varied caseload, including medical, surgical, and inpatient nursing.
ClinicalDuties
- Support vets with a wide range of procedures and cases
- Provide inpatient care and monitoring
- Deliver high-quality nursing care across a varied caseload
- Assist with surgical procedures, dentals, and diagnostic workups
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records
- Ensure high standards of patient welfare and infection control
- Work collaboratively with RVNs, PCAs, vets, and reception teams
- Support the smooth running of daily clinical operations
- Assist with stock management and equipment maintenance
- Contribute to maintaining high clinical and operational standards
- Deliver excellent client service and communication
- Support the client journey from admission through to discharge
- Provide clear updates, advice, and guidance to clients
- Promote preventative healthcare and patient wellbeing
- 3 Vets
- 3 RVNs
- 1 PCA
- 2 Receptionists
- 1 Hydrotherapy Nurse
- Qualified and Registered Veterinary Nurse
- Previous experience in a busy clinical environment
- Confidence in supporting a varied caseload
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
- Team-focused approach and positive attitude
