Location: Highgate

Join our dedicated Safeguarding Team as a Senior Social Worker in Birmingham, where you will play a vital role in protecting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. In this position, you will lead assessments, develop intervention plans, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of care and support. Your expertise will be crucial in managing complex cases and providing guidance to less experienced social workers.

Your

key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting thorough assessments of risk and need for children and families.
  • Developing and implementing care plans that prioritize the safety and well-being of service users.
  • Providing supervision and support to junior staff members and students.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support networks.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely case records in accordance with organizational policies.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication, assessment, and analytical skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage a diverse caseload.
