Senior Social Worker – Children with Disabilities (CWD)

Pay Rate: £38.87 per hour
Referral Bonus: £500 per successful referral (T&Cs apply)
About the Role
Camden Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Social Worker to join its Children with Disabilities (CWD) team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of disabled children, young people and their families.
The ideal candidate will have strong assessment, safeguarding and analytical skills, with experience in statutory children's social care and working with disabled children.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, interventions and reviews.
* Undertake statutory work, including Child in Need, Child Protection, Children Looked After, PLO and court proceedings.
* Ensure children's wishes, feelings and lived experiences are central to decision-making.
* Work collaboratively with parents, carers and multi-agency professionals.
* Support transition planning and Preparation for Adulthood where required.
* Maintain accurate records and apply relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
Requirements
* Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
* Experience in statutory children's social care.
* Strong safeguarding, assessment and case management skills.
* Experience working with disabled children and their families is desirable.
