Description
You will be a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our PAC-3 program. Our team is responsible for designing and improving manufacturing processes to make production more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective, and providing engineering support to the production floor.
What You Will Be Doing- Development of tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications and culminating in complete technical data packages fully defining the tooling / equipment and allowing fabrication of detailed components and assembly of the end item.
- Design / documentation efforts to be accomplished IAW company standards utilizing Creo / Solid Works.
- Provide engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day to day integration processes by analyzing and using problem solving skills in a team environment in accordance with production rate requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues.
- Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes and systems.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance, therefore, U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- The ability to translate technical drawings and specifications into practical manufacturing instructions is essential.
- Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design.
- Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes.
- Competent with mechanical manufacturing and mechanical assembly.
- Competent with bill of materials (BoMs) and Indentured Parts Lists (IPL).
- Proficient with MS Office suite.
- Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works.
- Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Knowledgeable of engineering materials.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
- Ability to identify and solve complex issues.
- Previous missile or rocket assembly experience.
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
