Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist, Quality Engineer to join our growing facility in Camden, Arkansas. This role will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of company products in compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. The incumbent performs analysis on reported nonconformities and discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, electro‑mechanical systems, field and clinical data, investigates the cause for discrepancies and nonconformities, develops disposition, recommends corrective action plans, leads material review board and PFMEA activities, interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives, conducts program quality cost account management, manages supplier corrective actions, and serves as the primary interface to customers and suppliers for quality related matters.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure program design and process documents for area of responsibility include program quality requirements and that products are inspectable.
  • Independently review manufacturing planning to ensure appropriate design engineering requirements implementation, material traceability maintenance, quality record maintenance and operator and inspector sign‑offs; designate inspection/verification needs.
  • Lead PFMEA to quantify and reduce risk using this quality tool.
  • Actively participate in improvement teams to reduce risk through the application of mistake‑proofing principles.
  • Develop, implement and monitor new or existing inspection methods to ensure products meet stated engineering requirements.
  • Ensure compliance to all quality system requirements through a thorough knowledge of documented requirements.
  • Conduct process audits to ensure processes follow manufacturing planning, program requirements and enterprise‑level command media.
  • Execute First Article Inspection per AS9102 requirements.
  • Perform documentation reviews to support hardware acceptance (HAR) activities; develop and maintain Quality Documentation Control Center (QDCC) command media; monitor manufacturing schedules and QDCC activities; create Acceptance Data Packages (ADP) to support hardware sell‑off.
  • Participate actively in Material Review Board, including segregation and control of nonconforming hardware to preclude inadvertent processing, disposition of nonconforming hardware, preparing for and conducting board meetings, and implementing disposition decisions.
  • Drive corrective and preventive action to ensure continual improvement: investigate and determine root causes of problems, develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide imaginative, thorough and practical solutions to a wide range of technical problems through the application of quality engineering disciplines and tools.
  • Obtain US Secret Security Clearance.
  • Travel less than 10%.
Qualifications
