Are you a BCBA—or an aspiring behavior analyst—passionate about working with at-risk youth?
Atlantic Academy is a day treatment program (SPPS) for students K‑8th, who present with developmental, cognitive, or emotional/behavioral challenges, including autism spectrum disorders and complex behavioral needs. We are seeking a Behavior Analyst to help build and lead behavior analytic services for our growing program. The ideal candidate will bring experience, creativity, and compassion to a team supporting our most vulnerable youth in Maine.

What You’ll Do- Conduct functional behavior assessments in accordance with BACB ethical standards, adapted for early childhood populations
- Design and oversee behavior‑analytic interventions for young children in a classroom setting, with an emphasis on developmental appropriateness, safety, and skill‑building
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of teachers, Ed Techs, speech/language and occupational therapists, and families
- Supervise and train Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs) and Ed Techs in effective early intervention strategies
- Develop and monitor individualized behavior support plans, data systems, and early learning goals tied to social‑emotional, communication, and adaptive skills
- Support transition planning for students moving into or out of the Pre‑K program
- Contribute to a collaborative, child-centered, and resilient program culture
- A graduate degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field
- National certification as a BCBA or BCaBA (or eligibility for supervision if pursuing certification)
- Experience working with children and adolescents, preferably in special education or day treatment settings
- Familiarity with trauma‑informed approaches, mindfulness‑based approaches, and behavioral therapies and models tailored to at‑risk populations
- Experience working with behavioral disorders and dangerous behaviors
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including comfort working closely with parents and public school teams
