Server – American Cruise Lines

American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is hiring Servers for the 2026 cruising season. This temporary position challenges you to work onboard for 28 weeks, serving guests in our shipboard hotel and restaurant and representing our brand.

Pay

Wages range from $1,000 to $1,400 per week with additional bonuses. All major living expenses are covered aboard.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guests with an elegant and memorable dining experience.
  • Set‑up and break‑down breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour including tables, linen, silverware, china, and glassware.
  • Cater to all culinary requests efficiently.
  • Acknowledge guests by name, escort them to their tables, present menus, suggest courses and wines, and answer menu questions.
  • Relay orders to the galley and serve courses and beverages with care, ensuring presentation and garnish.
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation, serving afternoon teas and snacks, and catering evening entertainment as required.
Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder.

• Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks.

• Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.

• Must accept pre‑employment drug testing for all shipboard employees.

• Alcohol consumption strictly prohibited on board.

• Must meet grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings.

• Temporary employment; no guaranteed extensions into management positions.
