Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist to work 3 days a week at the Camden Dental Center.

Summary

The Dental Hygienist cleans and maintains teeth of both children and adult patients, enabling the Dentist to perform more complicated procedures. The Hygienist will help maintain patient volume when the Dentist is out of the office.

Position Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining teeth of both children and adults.
• Responsible for exposing, processing, mounting, intraoral and panoramic dental radiographic x-rays, maintaining dental records of patients, providing preventive care, including sealants and fluoride treatments as well as nutritional counseling.
• Responsible for sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments.
• Sets up hygiene trays for dental hygiene procedures.
• Responsible for setting up and disinfecting the dental patient rooms before and after patient procedures.

Position Qualifications

1-3 plus years of experience preferred.

Required Education

Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygienist program with a AAS or BS degree required.

Training/Certifications/Licensure

Registration for Dental Hygienist credentials must be current and up to date.
