SEN PMLD Classroom Teacher (Maternity Cover) – 1‑year fixed‑term contract. Salary:
Inner London Main Scale/Upper Pay Scale + 1 SEN Point.
Start Date:
April 2026 (Summer Term 2026).
Swiss Cottage School is a community‑maintained special needs school in the London Borough of Camden for pupils aged 4 to 19 identified with complex needs profiles.
We are recruiting for a SEN PMLD classroom teacher for our lower school to start in April 2026 (maternity cover).
Requirements- Experience with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Multi‑Sensory Impairments.
- Knowledge of Cognition and Learning of pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities.
- Knowledge of personalised communication for e.g. Makaton, PECS.
- Ongoing training to enhance this is available within our school team.
The school has 5 curriculum pathways across Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Post‑16 provision within one school building.

- Early Career Teachers have a comprehensive training programme with onsite mentor support.
