Program Focus & Responsibilities

The Program Facilitator will work within Rutgers–Camden Community Engagement to facilitate programming in community centers across Camden.

Responsibilities include:

  • Adult education and workforce development activities
  • Arts and culture programming
  • Health and wellness initiatives
  • Youth and families engagement
  • Educational opportunities for all ages
  • Individual and family support services
  • Collaborating with the City of Camden, Rutgers staff, and community partners to maximize the use of community centers
  • Ensuring a fully on‑site work arrangement at assigned locations
Salary & Benefits

Minimum hourly wage: $18/hour. Final compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and available grant funds.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; 3–5 years of administrative and/or supervisory experience; excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
  • OR bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a master’s degree required for specialized roles; 5 years of leadership/managerial experience, or 3 years of related experience with a master’s degree; excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
  • High school diploma/ GED.
  • Experience working with children, adult learners, or senior citizens in community education settings.
  • Knowledge of engaging urban/city audiences.
  • Spanish fluency preferred.
