ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Program Administrator (Spvr) will oversee Disability Services for the Camden campus, reporting to the Interim Dean of Students. Key duties include interacting with academic departments, advisors and student service programs; conducting outreach presentations on Disability Services, learning strategies, and other academic support areas; representing the campus and students who request accommodations; acting as the sole campus resource for students with disabilities on and off campus;
interpreting policy, solving conflicts, implementing and communicating changes, creating new processes, and developing policy with colleagues across the Rutgers University system; coordinating testing services; proctoring tests as needed; and serving on campus disability committees. The role also involves advocating for improvements in physical plant, resources, technology, services and information; resolving conflicts with faculty or staff regarding accommodations; and staying abreast of ADA changes and updates.
Minimum
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, education, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of providing disability support services. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: experience working with students with learning disabilities, reading psychological assessments, developing strategies and accommodations, availability for occasional evening and weekend hours, in‑depth knowledge of disability services and laws, excellent computer, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and handle confidential situations.
Master’s degree. Experience conducting small‑group training sessions for staff on disability service compliance and initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, People Soft, RIAS, RUTAdmin, and familiarity with assistive technology devices and software (digital audio recorders, Windows‑Eyes, Jaws, Kurzweil 3000, Dragon Naturally Speaking).

FLSA:
Exempt. Grade: 06. Salary:
Starting salary commensurate with qualifications, with minimum of $82,166, mid‑range $104,002, maximum $125,837. Position is full time, 37.5 hours per week. Hybrid work arrangement may be available under Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 on a pilot basis (effective September 1, 2022 – August 31, 2024); subject to change and contingent on approval.
