The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) seeks a Program Coordinator to support student achievement and the unit’s student‑centered mission. The position ensures students have access to high‑quality academic resources and services, oversees appointment management, and monitors use of CLASS facilities.
Responsibilities- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise peer tutors.
- Manage early alerts, faculty referrals, and targeted academic interventions.
- Develop and organize tutor training aligned with CRLA standards.
- Maintain certification and assessment documentation and prepare statistical reports.
- Support Course Assistant/Supplemental Instruction and Emerging Scholars programs.
- Organize CLASS workshops and programming and collaborate with campus partners.
- Represent the Center at campus and community events.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates knowledge of a student‑focused center.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in academic support services or student success programs, preferably in higher education.
- Ability to plan and deliver workshops and programming activities that promote student engagement.
- Strong work ethic with effective organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience supervising student employees or peer tutors.
- Proficiency in data management and reporting.
- Problem‑solving and intervention skills to address student learning concerns.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and campus systems (Navigate, Smartsheet, Outlook, Qualtrics, Canva, social media).
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with CRLA guidelines and best practices in tutor training and certification.
- Experience with early alert systems and academic intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of supplemental instruction models and tutoring programs.
- Experience with Navigate
360 and learning management systems (Canvas).
Grade: 04 – non‑exempt. Starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, within university salary schedules and departmental budgets.
Minimum Salary: $59,893.48 – Mid Range: $73,909.48 – Maximum: $87,925.48.
