The Work The Command, Control, Communications is seeking a software engineer for the software development of tactical applications.

In this role you will design, integrate, and test tactical components that enable prototyping of new ship designs, evaluation of system performance, and system verification. The position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams in radar, sensor management, threat evaluation, and weapon control to ensure accurate representation of functional controls and track-processing logic. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and will require a U.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer engineering, or equivalent with minimum 2 years' professional experience

• Proficient with software development using C++

• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, build, and release

• Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git

• Experience with software testing and integration

• Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level
Desired

Skills:

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes

• Familiarity with shell scripting

• Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices
Security Clearance Statement:

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $135,961. Benefits offered:
