How you will make history here…

The Associate Plant Engineer develops new or modified process formulations, defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Involvement may begin at any step from pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compiles and evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications.

May conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Reviews product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules | Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.

What you will do…

• Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and processes supporting production activities associated with the Pilot Plant and R&D Operations.

• Oversight of contractors in support of capital improvements.

• Assist in development, implementation, and execution of Maintenance Program utilizing computer skills to leverage Computer Maintenance Management System.

• Collaborate with manager, maintenance and cross-functional pilot plant team on initiatives, as well as improving/troubleshooting plant equipment issues.

• Work with Maintenance Team and Operations team to improve processes, repair equipment, and source repair parts/service.

• Learn all plant/pilot plant equipment and scale-up process

• Trouble shoot against equipment & ingredient technical problems/gaps across the Soup & Broth platform.

• Develop technical thought leadership, business & creative problem-solving skills.

• Develop project management & prioritization skills.

• Demonstrates an awareness and understanding of external activities (new technologies, best practices, regulations, etc.) for continued growth and development.

• Partner with R&D Innovation Team on Soup & Broth products to solve technical process and/or ingredient challenges before and/or as part of commercialization process.

30%- Support maintenance / production / R&D activities

30%- Assist in project implementations through contractor scheduling and oversight.

20%- Develop maintenance and project plans

10%- Documentation of work tasks associated with equipment, systems, and processes within the Computer Maintenance & Management System
