Position: Instructor, I&C Maintenance

Location: Palisades Energy – Palisades Nuclear Power Plant, Covert, MI

Holtec Palisades seeks qualified applicants for the position of Instructor, I&C Maintenance in its Training department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant. Palisades is positioned to become the first nuclear power plant in the United States to restart after previously entering the early stages of decommissioning. Conducts I&C initial and continuing training. Works closely with I&C Maintenance department personnel to identify weaknesses in knowledge, skill, and behavior, and then systematically leverages training solutions appropriately to close gaps in performance in a timely manner.

• Develop instructional materials and conduct training for I&C Maintenance technicians.
• Apply in‑depth knowledge of instructional design theory (SAT/TSD).
• Maintain training programs in accordance with nuclear industry, regulatory, and legal requirements.
• Ensure accredited I&C Maintenance training program and instructional materials are current by incorporating plant changes.
• Maintain knowledge of plant operational conditions to support the analysis, design, and development of high‑quality training materials.
• Conduct trainee evaluations in various training settings (classroom, laboratory, OJT, etc.).
• Support station business initiatives, refueling outages, Emergency Planning (EP) duties, and other projects.
• Participate in instructional continuing training.
• Participate in management assessments.
• Ensure training records are complete, accurate and auditable and demonstrate leadership by upholding high standards in all training settings.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education, engineering or a related technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of I&C maintenance related experience (commercial or military).
• Technical proficiency in the assigned area and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• SRO license or certification on BWR and/or PWR preferred.
