Overview
Holtec International seeks qualified applicants for the Civil Field Engineer position in its Civil Design & Construction department with the company’s Nuclear Power division based at the company’s KPS Technology Campus in Camden, NJ. This department is responsible for construction of Spent Fuel Storage Installations at various Nuclear Power Plants across the United States and worldwide. The Civil Field Engineer provides critical engineering support throughout various phases of project design, estimating, and construction.
You will assist estimators by analyzing proposal documents, performing quantity takeoffs, and incorporating historical data to support accurate cost and labor estimates.
Responsibilities- Help prepare bid and procedure packages, support the development and maintenance of construction schedules, and manage construction documentation such as logs, submittals, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
- Track material deliveries, assist with project status reporting, attend project meetings, and support project close-out activities, ensuring smooth execution and documentation across all stages of the project.
- The preferred candidate will have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree and have 1-5 years of experience; 5-10 years preferred.
- Familiar with the civil aspects of construction: concrete, rebar, soils, underground utilities, drainage, etc.
- Willing to travel over 50% of the time on assignments, following a training and acclimation period in NJ. Temporary relocation may be required anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on project.
- Must have excellent PC skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Primavera, AutoCAD is desired but not required.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000
