Assistant Director - Re-Entry Services (CV772-1) - Reentry Services Division
Salary: $47,476.00 per year, plus benefits package.
Volunteers of America Delaware Valley is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director – Re‑Entry Services to provide leadership and operational oversight at our program facility. As part of the management team, this role supports the Program Director in coordinating staff, maintaining program integrity, and ensuring the safety and accountability of all residents. You’ll play a key role in supervising multiple departments, guiding team development, and fostering a secure and supportive environment for both staff and residents.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Oversee daily operations across all shifts, ensuring safety, security, and compliance
- Supervise and support Shift Supervisors, Program Managers, Program Assistants, the Program Administrative Assistant, and additional assigned staff
- Manage staff recruitment, interviewing, hiring, training, evaluation, and scheduling
- Oversee orientation for new residents and ensure smooth program integration
- Assist with fiscal management, resource development, and community relations
- Maintain compliance with agency policies and reporting requirements
- Participate in management meetings, program reviews, and staff development initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of related experience (including 1 year supervisory), or Associate’s degree with 5 years related experience including supervisory responsibilities
- Strong skills in fiscal management, resource development, and administrative coordination
- Experience working with diverse populations and community organizations
- Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency driving requirements
- As an Assistant Director, you’ll ensure the program runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with the organization’s mission. Through strong leadership and collaboration, you’ll help staff provide stable, high‑quality support to the individuals we serve.
