Production Manager
Holtec International is seeking a qualified candidate for the Machine Shop Supervisor role. The supervisor will play a pivotal role in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that production processes meet Holtec’s high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.
The Machine Shop Supervisor will be responsible for developing manufacturing plans and establishing procedures to ensure production meets customer and company quality standards. They will identify and recommend improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs and scrap, and monitor scrap and rework data. The supervisor will oversee the establishment, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of production standards, as well as adjust production schedules as needed to meet delivery priorities and operational conditions.
The supervisor will work closely with plant management to achieve company objectives and contribute to overall operational success.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of supervisory experience and a solid understanding of machining processes.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience operating CNC and manual machine tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and CNC programming.
- Strong background in safety and the ability to enforce company safety procedures.
- Team player who works well with others.
- Availability to work all shifts and weekends when necessary.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, effective communication with team members and other departments.
- Problem‑solving and quick decision‑making abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Organizational and time‑management skills to achieve established goals.
- Manage daily operations to meet production schedules efficiently and safely.
- Supervise associates, enforce compliance with safety protocols and company policies, and drive productivity improvements while minimizing scrap and rework. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain equipment, and coordinate plant changes or repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer demands, maintain high‑quality standards, and ensure training, safety measures, and performance evaluations are in place to uphold a compliant and productive work environment.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000
