American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring an active NJ or Compact license and the ability to circulate and scrub for C-sections.

• Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• 1:6 patient ratio with potential to float to higher volume facilities
• May be required to float to up to two nearby hospitals within scope of practice
• May be required to float to the High-Risk Obstetric Unit (HROB)
• Uses EPIC charting system
• On-call requirements may apply based on staffing needs

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required and in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum of 1 year of recent L&D experience required
• Must be able to circulate and scrub for C-sections
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, with only two attempts allowed
• Must complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
• Active BLS certification must not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
• Nursys verification must be dated within 2 weeks of submission and reflect active NJ or Compact license

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care including antepartum, high-risk antepartum, postpartum, and newborn care
• Responsibilities may include fetal monitoring, medication administration, pain management support, and assisting with vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Scrubs provided by the facility
• RTO must be submitted with initial profile; requests after submission will not be accepted
• No RTO permitted during the first week of assignment
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Holiday coverage required for one winter holiday and one summer holiday
• First-time travelers accepted
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local rate
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
