American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of high-volume ED experience and an active NJ or Compact RN license.
Requirements- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED nursing experience within the last 12 months
- High-volume ED experience required
- Trauma and Stroke CEUs required
- Must pass a Dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing, completed on a PC (not compatible with iOS devices), with only 2 attempts allowed
- Active BLS certification that does not expire within 30 days of assignment start date
- Nursys license verification dated within 2 weeks of submission reflecting active NJ or Compact license
- Pre-employment labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
- Must be clean shaven for fit testing prior to working on the unit
- Work in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
- 13-week assignment on night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- No call requirements
- Floating required within 7 hospitals in the system based on skillset (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, OLOL, Camden Satellite, Berlin Satellite)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Block scheduling not permitted
- Care for a general adult/pediatric ED population including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and orthopedic cases
- Facility is a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility handling shock/trauma cases including gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted, and no RTO is allowed within the first week of the assignment
- First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to the local pay rate
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
- Orientation includes specialty-specific modules tracked via transcripts
