Government Services Officer - Overnight Shift
Location:
Camden County Government location (not on campus). Shift: Overnight Part-Time, 12 AM–8 AM.
Pay: $16.00/hr – temporary position open until filled.
Responsibilities- Greet and direct the public.
- Prevent crime and protect life and property.
- Control access, investigate, and enforce policies and procedures of Camden County College and the County of Camden.
- Become familiar with site policies, procedures, orders, regulations, and equipment; execute responsibilities per approved guidelines.
- Maintain order, control, and safety at assigned sites.
- Monitor interior and exterior areas using foot patrols, stair towers, radios, and security cameras.
- Detect and prevent violations of site policy and state laws; report to appropriate authority.
- Conduct building inspections and promptly report hazards.
- Escort visitors to designated areas.
- Participate in access‑control screening, s, investigations, building searches, drills, and other similar functions.
- Render first aid and other medical assistance as required.
- Respond to all calls for service and critical incidents, assisting site staff and emergency personnel.
- Follow orders and assignments from appropriate authority cooperatively, timely, and effectively.
- Welcome, assist, and respond to inquiries in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
- Ensure a standard of superior customer service.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalency required; associate’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in public safety, emergency services, or military service.
- Effective communication skills in writing and speaking.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
- Certification in CPR, NARCAN, and First Aid, or ability to obtain during probationary period.
- Proficiency in computer skills—Microsoft Word and Outlook—for report writing and information exchange.
Standard temporary, part‑time benefits as per county policy; position open until filled.
