POSITION SUMMARY

The Anti-Trafficking Advocate/Case Manager is responsible for the direct services of the Center's SERV Anti-Trafficking, program providing identification of domestic victims of human trafficking. The Anti-Trafficking Case Manager is responsible for victim services, including case management, advocacy, and crisis-intervention for victims of Human Trafficking.

Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate a systematic outreach plan to conduct outreach activities for the purpose of screening and identification of domestic victims of human trafficking.

Provide support services, case management, crisis counseling, advocacy, and referrals for domestic victims of human trafficking.

Increase safety and knowledge of DVHT's encountered and develop comprehensive safety plan.

Increase integration of survivor engagement in case management and service delivery through peer led support groups.

Collaborate and coordinate services with external partners to provide a continuum of care for victims.

Make connections with community service providers as well as local, state and federal law enforcement.

Provide coverage for on-call schedule to respond to advocacy response calls/activations to local hospital and police departments.

Conduct intakes with HT survivors in shelter, work in collaboration with shelter case manager for coordination of services for HT residents.

Maintain data and client files in the EHS and reporting system following state, federal and agency guidelines.

Ensure surveys, evaluations, and client feedback is collected on an ongoing basis.

Raise public awareness about the issue of HT, how to recognize it, how to report it, and how victims can seek

help. Assist and participate in SJATC and develop one awareness event per year with HT team members.

Assist with office procedures pertinent to the operation of the program.

REQUIREMENTS

The Anti-Trafficking Case Manager must successfully complete the 60-hour New Jersey State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocacy (CSVA) & Domestic Violence Response Training (DVRT) and Human Trafficking Training provided by Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV). The Case Manager must have experience working with people, especially on a one-to-one basis, and demonstrated sensitivity toward the needs of victims. The Anti-Trafficking Case Manager must have 2 or more years of experience providing direct social services to victims of violence and/or trauma, preferably to survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or torture.

Crisis intervention, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills required. This position must be able to work independently and as a team member. The Anti-Trafficking Case Manager will be able to work collaboratively with community members, coalition members, governmental agencies, service organizations and funding sources.
