Position Summary

Center For Family Services is seeking a full time Anti Human Trafficking Case Manager for our SERV Program. The Anti-Trafficking Advocate/Case Manager is responsible for the direct services of the Center's SERV Human Trafficking Project, providing identification of victims of human trafficking. The Anti-Trafficking Case Manager is responsible for victim services, including case management, advocacy, and crisis-intervention for victims of Human Trafficking.

The Case Manager also presents educational programs to the community and reports directly to the Anti-Trafficking Program Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify domestic victims of human trafficking
  • Provide case management, crisis counseling, advocacy, and referrals for domestic victims of human trafficking
  • Make connections with community service providers as well as local, state and federal law enforcement
  • Provide outreach and public awareness on human trafficking, including distribution of materials and presentations to the community on human trafficking
  • Collaborate and coordinate services with external partners to provide a continuum of care for victims
  • Assist with the development and ongoing activities of the South Jersey Anti-Trafficking Coalition
  • Facilitate a systematic outreach plan targeting social service agencies, community and professional organizations and secure training and outreach presentations at schools, agencies, and throughout the community
  • Produce weekly updates on identification and referral progress, outreach activities, and trainings and technical assistance provided in the communities
  • Provide coverage for on-call schedule as needed
  • Assist with office procedures pertinent to the operation of the project
  • Conduct intakes with HT residents and ensure residents follow Safe House Expectations
  • Maintain client files, following state and agency guidelines
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field required (may be substituted with years of experience); a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field is preferred
  • Complete 40 hour New Jersey State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocacy (CSVA) crisis training and the 40 hour Domestic Violence Response Training (DVRT) provided by Services Empowering Rights of Victims (SERV).
  • Experience working with people, especially on a one-to-one basis, and demonstrated sensitivity toward the needs of victims.
  • 3 or more years of experience in providing direct social services to victims of violence and/or trauma, preferably to survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or torture.
  • Crisis intervention, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community members, coalition members, governmental agencies, service organizations and funding sources.
