We are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to join our engineering team in Camden, NJ. This role focuses on developing, testing, and maintaining real-time embedded systems using modern software languages and tools. The ideal candidate will bring strong C++ and Python expertise, hands-on RTOS experience, and a passion for designing high-reliability systems.
Develop, test, and maintain software for real-time embedded systems using C++ (up to C++14) and Python.
Utilize Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
Apply object-oriented design principles and software modeling using tools like IBM Rhapsody or Magic Draw/Cameo.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements and design specifications.
Provide technical input during the software development lifecycle, including design reviews and code inspections.
Document software designs and processes following industry best practices.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in C++ and Python for real-time embedded systems.
Experience working with RTOS environments (e.g., Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks).
Strong object-oriented design and implementation experience.
Hands-on experience with UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or Magic Draw/Cameo.
Familiarity with the RUST programming language.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certifications (e.g., DO-178).
Lack of a relevant degree as outlined above.
Insufficient hands-on experience with real-time embedded systems.
