JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for translating requirements into maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solution Centers. As a vital member of a Scrum team, you will play a key role in setting the direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development.

• Support the engineering team as a subject matter expert in embedded software application development.
• Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with a multi-discipline team.
• Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts in software development for target hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional members to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
• Develop software test plans and procedures, and other technical documentation.
• Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track, and repair defects.

JOB SKILLS &

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Implement software for embedded real-time operating systems using various software languages, primarily C/C.
• Experience with RTOS, Embedded software, C, Software development, C/C, Programming, Embedded
  
  C.
• 5 years of embedded C experience developing applications on simulated and target hardware.
• Full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) experience.
• Usage of a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS), such as Green Hills Integrity, VxWorks, or similar.
• Excellent debugging skills.
• Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with software modeling and UML tools such as IBM Rhapsody or Magic Draw/Cameo.
• Experience developing device drivers and Board Support Packages for real-time embedded systems.
• Experience with Information Assurance, cryptography, telecom, satellite industry or products.
• Experience with NSA Type 1 certification or other software certifications such as DO-178.
• Cyber security experience.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100.00 – $125.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
