Join Volunteers of America Delaware Valley as a Van Driver and play a key role in helping clients access essential services and opportunities. Whether it’s getting someone to a medical appointment, delivering furniture for a new home, or supporting daily operations across our programs—you’ll be behind the wheel of something meaningful.
We’re looking for a dependable, safe, and compassionate driver to provide transportation services and ensure the upkeep of agency vehicles in support of our community housing and supportive services programs.
What You’ll Do:
- Safely transport clients to and from appointments, events, and services
- Coordinate daily routes and schedule with program staff
- Handle occasional pick-ups and deliveries of furniture and donations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and functional van at all times
- Monitor client behavior while in transit and report concerns
- Keep accurate trip, mileage, and maintenance records
- Wash and wax the vehicle and complete routine inspections
What You Need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
- Ability to meet VOA driving standards and complete defensive driving training within 3 months
- Good communication skills and a calm, respectful presence
- Reliability and a commitment to safety
