Job Description SummaryEvaluates, administers, and directs therapeutic procedures to patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments as prescribed by a referring practitioner. Establishes goals of occupational therapy and re‑assesses patient progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation. This role requires caring for patients of all ages and may direct support staff in assisting with treatment.

Minimum Training and EducationA degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current South Carolina licensure and NBCOT certification required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Greater than 1 year of applicable experience required.

Physical RequirementsAbility to perform job functions while standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, working indoors or outdoors, in temperature extremes, from elevated areas, in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling positions, bending and twisting at the waist. Ability to perform gross motor activities, firm and fine grasping, reach overhead, repetitive motions with hands, wrists, elbows and shoulders, use both legs, balance and coordination. Lift and carry 50 lbs unassisted;
lift objects 50 lbs from floor to 36 inches, or 25 lbs from 36" to overhead, use up to 50 lbs of force. Ability to maintain 20/40 vision, recognize objects, discriminate colors, determine depth perception, maintain hearing acuity, cope with stressful situations, work rotating shifts, overtime, latex‑safe environment, tactile sensory functions, olfactory function, respirator use when required.
