Registered Nurse II - ED Kershaw Responsibilities

Under the direction of a registered nurse, the LPN is responsible for all identified nursing care behaviors within his/her span of control during his/her tour of duty and is accountable to the Charge Nurse and/or designated individual. The LPN participates in the care of a defined patient population, assists with data collection, formulates plans for patient care, and participates in evaluation of outcomes of nursing actions.

Graduation from a recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program and licensed as an LPN within the state of South Carolina or a compact state. One year of LPN experience preferred.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
