Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med Surg RN with at least 2 years of experience and a current SC or compact RN license for night shifts.
Responsibilities- Position is in an acute care hospital on a 54-bed Medical Surgical unit
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6
- Required to work every other weekend
- Float required within scope to similar units as needed
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Uses Epic EMR system; experience preferred
- Block scheduling may be considered with prior approval but is not guaranteed
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Emergency response team participation may be required during hurricane season (June–November)
- Free parking available on site
- All requested time off must be submitted and approved prior to assignment offers
- Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand before start
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- IV start skills required
- Experience with cardiac gtt and telemetry monitoring preferred
- Locals within a 60-mile radius may be considered
- License must have no pending actions
- First-time travelers are accepted
