Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within the Walmart facilities Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

Base pay range: $23.00/hr - $45.00/hr.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders to support Stores and Store associates and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines by performing work according to Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work at heights frequently.

• 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2–4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls (or related field).

• Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city and/or state where the job is located.
