We are looking for both Experienced Black Hat Miners and individuals interested in starting a career as an Apprentice/Red Hat Miner

JENNMAR Services offers FREE 80-Hour MSHA Underground New Miner Training opportunities for qualified candidates who want to enter the coal mining industry.
PAY & BENEFITSRed Hat / Apprentice Miners: $23–$24/hour
Black Hat / Experienced Miners: $27–$28/hour

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESDepending on experience, certification and assignment, Underground Coal Miner responsibilities may include:
Roller and screen changes
Steel sets
Overcasts
Jacks
Seal preparation
Pumpable cribs
Scoop operation
Roof bolting
Moving and handling underground supplies
Other underground mining duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSExperienced Miners:
Current West Virginia Experienced Underground Miner certification required
WV Apprentice Miner certification or willingness to complete required MSHA New Miner Training
FREE 80-Hour MSHA training opportunities available for qualified candidates
No previous underground mining experience required for entry-level opportunities
All Candidates:
Valid driver's license
Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Ability to perform physically demanding underground work
Ability to regularly lift 50–75 pounds throughout the shift
Ability to regularly lift and work above shoulder/head level
Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening
Drug and alcohol testing required
