Position: PHLEBOTOMY TECH II/COURIER

PHLEBOTOMY TECH II/COURIER – Archbold Mitchell Hospital

Responsibilities
  • Correctly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling
  • Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently
  • Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures
  • Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities
  • Complies with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures
  • Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems
Experience / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current driver’s license with no major driving citations and able to be covered under AMC auto insurance required
  • Certification in Phlebotomy by ASCP (or other nationally recognized certification agency) or completion of AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program preferred
