PHLEBOTOMY TECH II/COURIER – Archbold Mitchell Hospital

Responsibilities- Correctly performs patient identification, venipuncture/capillary collection technique, and specimen labeling
- Performs specimen processing functions accurately and efficiently
- Correctly performs special phlebotomy procedures
- Demonstrates initiative and leadership qualities
- Complies with Laboratory Safety Policies & Procedures
- Demonstrates adequate knowledge of the hospital and laboratory computer systems
- High school diploma or GED required
- Current driver’s license with no major driving citations and able to be covered under AMC auto insurance required
- Certification in Phlebotomy by ASCP (or other nationally recognized certification agency) or completion of AS degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program preferred
- Medical / Dental

- At least one year phlebotomy experience preferred
