NURSE MANAGER

Nurse Manager – Med/Surg – Archbold Mitchell Hospital

Graduate of a school of Professional Nursing,
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia,
Certified in Basic Life Support.

• 3–5 years experience as staff nurse
• Prefer 1 year experience as Assistant Nurse Manager

• Outstanding leadership ability
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic computer literacy
• Competency in basic nursing skills
• Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others in the workplace
• Honesty and maintaining a professional composure

• Sitting, stooping, and walking
• Good physical and mental health
• Must be able to lift, bend, pull, and push using good body mechanics without limitations

All nursing personnel assigned to the unit, supervised by the Director of Nursing.

• Maintains a professional image
• Maintains a clean, safe, and secure environment
• Assumes responsibility for institutional requirements
• Demonstrates customer service and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates pride in the organization and works well as a team member

• Utilizes the nursing process in planning or providing care for patients/residents ages adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Maintains a safe environment for patients/residents, co‑workers, and self
• Assumes responsibility for professional activities
• Demonstrates effective leadership and organizational skills

• Supervises and oversees operations and functions of the Nursing Med/Surg department
