Campus Security Officer - Archbold Mitchell Hospital

Join the Archbold team as a Campus Safety Officer. You will protect staff, patients, and visitors on our hospital campus, ensuring a safe, secure environment.

• Patrol the hospital and nursing home, parking areas, and facility grounds.
• Investigate unsecured doors, gates, vehicles, and buildings.
• Accompany visitors and staff to parking areas when requested.
• Open doors, gates, vehicles, and buildings for authorized personnel.
• Monitor and operate Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), two‑way radios, telephones, fire alarm system, and equipment alarms.
• Operate and maintain motor vehicle.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Enforce parking and traffic policies.
• Assist motorists with vehicle problems (dead battery, flat tire, etc.).
• Investigate traffic accidents.
• Perform package inspections.
• Respond to and investigate alarms.
• Assist staff with patients when needed.
• Assist staff if confrontational situations arise.
• Respond to Emergency Codes.
• Assist law enforcement as needed.
• Complete incident reports.
• Write concise and factual shift reports.

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• One‑year experience in security preferred.
• Experience in a hospital setting a plus.
• Must possess good problem‑solving skills.
• Must communicate effectively and demonstrate proficiency in verbal and written communication.
• Must successfully complete an initial physical fitness test and maintain physical fitness standards.
• Must be 21 or older due to insurance/liability.
