ATCS is seeking an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team as Transportation (Roadway Design) Project Manager in Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity to support a rapidly growing bridge practice in Pennsylvania. The individual will perform a variety of engineering tasks related to PennDOT, PA Turnpike and various municipal roadway design projects. The diversity of responsibilities requires a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing leadership and management capabilities and opportunities.
This position can be based out of the ATCS Camp Hill or Altoona offices with hybrid flexibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily responsibilities may include project design, task management, client contact, and quality control.
- Development of roadway construction documents, specifically roadway plans, profiles, typical sections, maintenance of traffic plans, cost estimating and planning
- Preparing reports and studies
- Preparing for, attending, and participating in public meetings
- Directing others in performing designs for various roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, PennDOT and local municipality requirements; reviewing and managing designs prepared by others
- Coordinating with contractors, utility companies and government agencies
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer's license in PA is required
- Micro Station ORD experience is preferred
- Familiarity with AASHTO, PennDOT and regional design standards, practices, and policies
- Experience with PennDOT/PA Turnpike Highway Project Management
